Established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation, WEF engages with the key political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendae. WEF developed the Strategic Intelligence capability that uses Hybrid Intelligence to help make sense of the complex forces driving transformational change across economies, industries and global boundaries. This capability incorporate expert and machine-curated knowledge, allowing users to visualise and understand a range of topics, as well as the connections and interdependencies between them. In this webinar, our guests will provide an overview of the Strategic Intelligence platform, presenting the key features that enable the community of diverse stakeholders to better inform their decision making process, by highlighting the key factors of transformational changes, supported by evidence and detailed information. They will also present their knowledge management processes, which combine Artificial Intelligence and human curation, forming a Hybrid Intelligence. Our webinar speakers will explain some of the practices, technologies and methodologies utilised to continuously enrich and support the WEF's knowledge platform. Speakers Pierre Saouter Pierre leads a team of Data Scientists in the WEF's Strategic Intelligence Group. Before joining the Forum, he spent 7 years as a researcher. Pierre holds a PhD in Particle Physics, with specialisations in data analysis and statistics, and worked in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Centre Europeen de Recherche Nucleaire (CERN).
Tooba Durraze Tooba is leading 4IR and industry-related work for the WEF's Strategic Intelligence platform. Tooba also looks after the main policy issues prevalent around the technologies most commonly used during the Fourth Industrial Revolution. She is a Computer Engineer by background and is currently pursuing her PhD in Data Science from MIT. Prior to joining WEF, Tooba was the Director of Operations of a non profit organisation bringing technical education to underserved communities.
