System Migration</strong><br /><strong>Our event has changed</strong><br />Due to unforeseen circumstances Jenny Heathcote is unable to present at our next event, although we are hopeful that she will be able to present later in the year.<br /><br />We have been very fortunate to get a presenter who has extensive experience from the mining, oil and gas industry, Jackie White who works for ?? has been involved in multiple system migrations and will provide us with&nbsp; lessons learned, problems encountered and what would change with the benefit of hindsight?<br /><br />In addition, Damien Shepherd Director SRO will be making a presentation on system migrations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />We have therefore changed the order and content of parts of the event and we have the following program confirmed:<br /></font><ul><li><font size="2">Jackie White will present her lessons learned and problems encountered with system migrations</font></li><li><font size="2">Damien Shepherd Director of SRO will summarise what information SRO receives about system migrations.</font></li><li><font size="2">Rainer Krause, ELO providing us with their migration protocols and approach</font></li><li><font size="2">Michael Clark, Objective providing us with their migration protocols and approach</font></li><li><font size="2">Jackie White, Rainer Krause and Michael Clarke will be joined by Peta Cowin Department of Mines, Industry Regulations and Safety, a representative of SRO and an IIM Committee member as your panellists.&nbsp; The panel will take your questions on system migration.</font></li></ul><font size="2"><br />All organisations at one time or another will go through the process of migrating from one system to another.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />What are the requirements and protocols for a successful migration?&nbsp; Where does access, security and classification fit?&nbsp; Is there an order that should be followed? Is testing important and is it only on the data migration or should it include configuration and behaviours? &nbsp;&nbsp;Is big bang migration best or incremental or are there alternatives? With the introduction of AI, the time required to perform the same job was reduced down to six hours!<br /><br />In his keynote, Tony will outline a number of NHMRC developments using advanced analytics, including natural language processing and machine learning, to better manage and synthesise data, accelerate operations and enhance decision making at the organisational level.&nbsp;
